1. If you are a) a current LEARC member, and b) you have attended a spotter training class for the NWS in the past two years, but c) were not in attendance at the meeting tonight, please reply to this email and let me know.  At the request of John Carson, the club is compiling a list of members who are trained spotters; this list will be given to local (county/city and maybe state) law enforcement agencies to verify our validity as trained amateur radio operators/spotters if any issues are encountered with law enforcement officer's in the field.

2. The annual NWS spotter training class for McDonough County has been scheduled for April 2nd at 6:00 PM at the American Legion, 221 E. Washington St. in Macomb.  You are required to attend this class at least once every two (2) years in order to maintain your status as a trained spotter with the NWS.
