We had six (6) members and no guests present for the meeting and holiday party.

As of this time, the ARRL County Emergency Coordinator position for McDonough County remains unfilled. If anyone is interested in volunteering, please let me know. We still need active hams to give me their information for inclusion in the emergency phone tree.

LEARC is scheduled to ring bells at Farm King on Friday, December 18th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Here is an updated schedule:
4 p.m. to 5 p.m. - Mac, N9RGF and XYL (SHIFT FILLED)
5 p.m. to 6 p.m. - Mark, KA9SZX and Tony, KB9NAB (SHIFT FILLED)
6 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Don, KA9SQB and ?????? (still one opening)
7 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Jerry, KB9NAB and Sharon, N9TGA (SHIFT FILLED)

Mark, KA9SZX now has an APRS digi (KA9SZX-1) online
using a KPC3+ serving the entire area; this is co-located with the repeater and should provide good
coverage for mobile stations in the area. The TNC was donated by Mark Balaz, W9MUF and Andy Wadsworth, W9ADS and
operates on 144.390 MHz.

I am meeting with Ted Williamson this week to schedule a meeting and look into holding a Technician class ham radio license session this spring in Macomb.

Upcoming events:
1. The Quincy club's annual holiday dinner is January 9th.
2. The Wheaton ham radio club's hamfest in Wheaton, IL will be held on January 24th: http://www.w9ccu.org/
