[LeArc] BBARC HAMFEST - Carthage, IL Dec 12, 2009 - 8 AM

The Big Bend Amateur Radio Club of Hancock County, IL will 
host its 6th Annual Hamfest and Electronic Show on Saturday, December 12, 2009, 
8 AM, located at the U of IL Extension Grounds, Rt. 94 north in Carthage, 
IL.  This fest offers a wide variety of electronic, computer and amateur 
radio equipment from vintage tube equipment, hand held radios, radio towers, 
wire, jump drives, learning materials, electronic gadgets of all sorts, computer 
peripherals, and much more. Vendors will be coming from Kansas City, Kansas; 
Minnesapolis, Minn., Pawnee, Champaign, Decatur, and Carthage, IL; Cedar Rapids 
and Burlington, Iowa. As this is one of the last hamfest shows of the year, 
vendors will be offering excellent values. Vendor tables are available at $15 
per table until show time. 
 
VE testing will take place at 9 AM sharp at the 
Extension Center for those wanting to upgrade their FCC license or become a new 
amateur radio operator. Preregistration for VE testing is requested by

Door prizes of BBARC cash, gift certificates from the ARRL 
and more, plus refreshments will be available. Admission is $4 at the 
door.
