Subject: [Balloon_Sked] Soli Deo Gloria 8 launch tonight 







Soli Deo Gloria 8, a tropospheric superpressure balloon carrying a CW beacon from Pierre Thomson, KA2QPG, is scheduled to launch within the next four hours.  The beacon will be transmitting the following string on 29.499 Mhz using conventional CW: 
  
   DE KA2QPG BLN F 000  EMAIL ROCHTE AT GMAIL.COM   AR 
  
Where "F" is the frame counter, incrementing with each transmission, and "000" is a numeric code representing temperature.  A table of numeric values and associated temperatures will be published once the balloon is aloft.
