The Illinois Emergency Management Agency Dept. of Nuclear Safety is offering Illinois residents the opportunity to get a free radon test kit. Here is the link:

Radon, as you may know, is a radioactive gas found naturally throughout the world and in some places it is present in elevated levels that can impact human health. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States, and is found in homes throughout Illinois. Performing a radon test is the only way to know if radon levels in your home are high.
