[LeArc] Club Meeting & Ham Class

The LEARC meeting scheduled for tonight at 7:00 p.m. has been postponed due to winter weather conditions.  The meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, February 19th at 7:00 p.m.  at the American Red Cross building on Maple Avenue in Macomb.  I hope to see everyone there!

An entry level technician class amateur radio license course has been scheduled to begin on Wednesday, February 28th 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the American Red Cross building on Maple Avenue in Macomb.  This class is open to the public, but participants will need to pay a $20.00 fee to cover the cost of their textbooks.  If this fee presents a financial hardship on the part of a prospective participant, please contact me to make further arrangements.  Further information will be available at the initial meeting on 02/28, but participants should bring a check or cash to that meeting so materials can be ordered.  An official class schedule with future meeting dates will be distributed at the initial meeting, but classes will tentatively meet Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. for approximately ten weeks.  I need to know ASAP if you plan to participate in the class, since we will need a final head count.  I want to stress that this is an independent class being hosted by Ted Williamson, N9EM and thus is not a formal LEARC program.  Please put the word out on this class and have participants either email or phone me at 815-674-1059 to confirm participation.

A general class license course is being planned to begin soon after the technician course ends.  Stay tuned for further details!
