Special Weather Statement
202 PM CST Tue Dec 11 2007
...Freezing rain developing again...
Another surge of widespread rain and freezing rain will continue
to overspread the area from southwest to northeast through early
afternoon. Colder air is moving into the area from the
northwest...and the rain is expected to turn to periods of
freezing rain through 4 PM this afternoon. Temperatures are
expected to slowly drop to around the freezing mark around 4 PM
this afternoon. Any new ice accumulation will take place mainly on
tree branches...power lines and other elevated surfaces. Some
locations could see new ice accumulations of around a tenth of an
inch on these elevated surfaces through 4 PM.
Where it is still raining...iced and slushed up storm drains are
impeding rainfall run off...and thus many areas are experiencing
ponding of water on roads and even some minor street flooding.
Expires:112215 gmt
