An Ice Storm Warning remains in effect from 9 am this morning to
6 PM CST this afternoon.

A mixture of snow...sleet and freezing rain will develop across the
area early this morning. The precipitation will change to mainly
freezing rain by late morning with ice accumulations from a quarter
to half inch expected by evening. The precipitation is expected to
change over to rain this evening as temperatures rise to well above
freezing.

In addition...winds will strengthen to 25 to 35 mph this afternoon
and evening. This may lead to damage to trees and power lines where
ice accumulates and power outages.

An Ice Storm Warning means significant ice accumulations of one-
quarter inch or more are expected or occurring. This will make travel
dangerous or impossible...so only travel in an emergency and take
your winter survival kit. Ice accumulations and winds will likely
lead to falling tree branches...snapped power lines and loss of
power.
