Yes it will be important to have a large showing at the meeting.. Remember
that even if you do not live in the town, you can still attend. If you live
close to Macomb, this could impact you as well.
If this is passed in Macomb, other towns might follow suit.

The city of Macomb is considering an ordnance limiting amateur radio
antennas to 40 feet or less.
I have scheduled an appointment with the City Administer tomorrow (Friday
March 4) at 11:00 AM. If anyone else would like to attend the meeting with
me, please contact me.
I have called the ARRL for information and printed out about 100 pages of
information concerning PRB-1. Now I am trying to go through it and condense
it down to what is important.
Don, KA9SQB, Dave, W9COP, and I have been contacting various people to get
some sort of support from them.
If you live in Macomb, please contact your alderman and express your
opposition to this ordnance. If you need to find out who your alderman is,
go to the City's web site. There is a map there to show which ward you live
in and a list of how to contact each alderman.
I also plan on being at the city council meeting on Monday. It would be
good to have as many club members there as possible. Even if you do not
live in Macomb, you can still come to the council meeting and provide
support.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
I can be contacted at
(309) 837-4277 or
(309) 255-1824.
