Macomb...Memphis

...Winter Storm Warning in effect tonight through Wednesday night...

The National Weather Service in Davenport has issued a Winter Storm
Warning.

Freezing rain and sleet will overspread the area this afternoon...and
continue through Wednesday before changing to snow Wednesday night.
Significant ice accumulations of one quarter to one half inch or more
will be possible...with snow accumulations less than one inch.

In addition...northeast winds of 10 to 20 mph...combined with the
significant ice accumulation on trees and power lines...could result
in considerable tree damage and power outages.

A Winter Storm Warning is issued when severe winter weather is
expected to occur. Heavy snow or ice are forecast to accumulate in
the warned area...which will result in hazardous driving conditions.
Those with travel plans in the warned area are advised to choose an
alternate Route. If this is not possible...use extreme caution if
travel is unavoidable.
