[LeArc] It's Official - Grayslake / Radio Expo has moved to August!

Got the official word today via Dick Isely (ARRL Central Div Director)
that he has approved ARRL sanctioning for Radio Expo on August 26-27,
2006.   This means NO CONFLICT in 2006 with Peoria Superfest!  (Peoria
Superfest will be September 16 & 17).

We're glad they got an opportunity to move, as we were boxed in
ourselves.  It is a great step, as it means both vendors and attendees
can attend both events, and all parties should benefit.   To help
thank the Chicago FM Club, plus celebrate, we should plan a caravan to
Grayslake in August!

Their president implies that Radio Expo will be able to maintain that
weekend (the last one in August) as long as they stay at the Grayslake
Fairgrounds.   But, the fairgrounds is trying to move to another
location, and hopefully that schedule will carry thru in 2007 and
beyond.
