Duane,
Yes, they are indeed asking for help. Would love to have your
trained radio manner there Sat a.m. Separate note coming
through the reflector, as follows:
---
The hams have indeed been asked to help with
the lineup of the Heritage Days parade.
Plans call for line up at 8:45 a.m. at the
Lafayette Square (the usual place).
By 9 we'll go one block south to the corner of Piper and Lafayette.
That's where the parade will start.
All help appreciated and gratefully accepted for the good name of the club.
Please tell anyone who might not be on the reflector about the need
and solicit their help. We can use at least eight club members for full
coverage.
The committee has said it will have maps and parade listings available
Sat. morning.
Bring a pencil, maybe a clipboard, sunscreen, a water bottle or whatever.
Lemonade (Barbershopper, of course) provided afterward.
Thanks for all help, Don KA9SQB
---
The route is changed this year. According to the committee,
It will go North from Piper and Lafayette
north along the West side of the Square,
East along the North side of the Square,
South along the West side of the Square to Jefferson and disband there.
Jefferson Street will be kept open for traffic until just before the
parade begins.
---
As before, floats will line up on either side of McArthur Street
along Woodbury, Chase, McDonough and Franklin Streets. They'll
feed onto McArthur and go north to Jefferson, thence East for a block
and North on Lafayette.
---
I figure we'll try the 147.06 repeater, and change if needed.
Thanks, Don

[I know Wayne is headed to the Peoria area for a FD event, that's the
only one
I know of at the monent. Haven't heard if the Schuyler County club is going
out to Scripps Park, as they ahve done in past years.]
