I got on one of those kicks, and was searching ebay... I found 6 illegal
linear amplifiers for sale. I checked the ebay guidelines, and it says
right there that they are prohibited for sale on ebay due to FCC
regulations.
I reported them :)
I'm a mean man :)
On with my search for truckers using 10 Meter radios. I've caught 14 of
them thus far. All in truck stops. Recorded their conversations, found
them in the parking lot, and wrote down their information from their truck
(i.e. company name, truck and trailer number, license plate number, ICC
number, date and time... ( I recommed this approach to the idiot on the
repeater in Schaumburg... do NOT approach the guy, or try to reproach him on
the repeater. If you can, record as much information as you can, and send
it to either the ARRL or the local FCC office. It would be great if there
is a ham there, and you can call them while he is actually transmitting...
then they can put all their high powered DF equipment to use... they like
that :) )
Then I sent the recordings and information to the ARRL... noticed the other
week in the enforcement reports that they have written to a couple of the
companies. Hope they were the ones I reported. :)
I'm a mean man :)
Gotta protect the spectrum.
