Well... more on the updates here.
I have begun to Level I -- Introduction to Amateur Radio Emergency
Communications course sponsed by the ARRL. I will keep everyone updated on
my progress. Thus far I have only completed the first section, but as you
know my job keeps me busy during the week, so it will be mostly weekends
when I get to work on it.
Speaking of weekends... I got my ticket to the Peoria Superfest for this
weekend, so I hope to see some of y'all there. I know I will see some of
the LEARC people there. Are any of the SARC guys going? I plan on being in
there on Saturday morning, however, if I get off the road early enough, and
I feel like camping, I may show up Friday evening. My main goals are to
pick up the cables nessessary to connect my TS-450S to my computer for both
rig control and for digital HF communications. Other than that, I am sure
I'll find some other stuff to spend my money on, hihi.
If you are going, let me know (preferably off reflector so as not to tick
off everyone who really doesn't care), and I will keep an eye out. I will
have my handheld with me, and will monitor both of the walk-in freq, and
146.52, so if I hear my call sign I will answer you. LEARC guys... remember
I am N9OE now... not KB9VRN :)
However, if I hear my old call, I will answer and politely and
diplomatically embarrass the heck out of ya (I hope you call me on the
repeater if you do :)~ ).
I just remembered... I owe my dues to LEARC, so if I do run in to someone
(Don, KA9SQB??? your always there... or Tony KB9NAB).... hopefully you would
be nice enough to take my money :)
Hope to see you this weekend.

What's my dynamic range on the bass trombone? On or off.
These two tuba players walk past a bar... Well, it could happen!
