hi LEARC,
Have had some past experience with a ham's home brew models using a
gasoline engine that he salvaged from a mower, installed on a metal
frame, fan belt linked to a new car alternator (90A+) and the alternator
output attached to a deep cycle marine battery. The engine would
definitely change pitch and speed with increased load on the battery.
Wheels were on one end of a hand cart, and to keep it from walking away,
it had two pointed legs on the other end of the cart that dug in when set
down.
Made a great source for 13.8VDC emergency power for his mobile rigs that
he would set up for our emergency stations.
The DC to AC inverter is a good touch on this for a commercial power rig,
but wonder if it is RF quiet, i.e. no radio interference. Same for the
gas engine.
