The November meeting minutes has been posted on the club site. Also updated the
upcoming events page.

The Leonids meteor shower is predicted to peak tonight. This could be the
"storm" that everyone has been waiting for. There are 2 predicted times that
this could occur. One is at 0400z or 10 pm cst. However at this time, the
radiant is below the horizon for us in North America. This means "the storm"
can be seen in Europe but not necessarily here. However the 2nd peak predicted
is at 1000z or 4 am cst. This time is excellent for North America.

Of course, the weather forecast for us does not look very favorable, especially
early this evening. However they are predicting partly cloudy skies for later
tonight so with some luck, "maybe" we can catch a break in the clouds and see
something of the storm around 4 am.

Whatever the case, 6 meters and above will be "hopping" with signals on SSB as
well as the WSJT digital mode for meteor scatter. This is a weak signal affair,
no FM allowed. Sorry....
