No injuries sustained in plane crash near Roseville
A Kansas pilot and his two passengers escaped unharmed after an
emergency landing near Roseville Sunday afternoon.

Police responded to a cornfield on 65th Street, southeast of
Roseville, after receiving a 911 call at the Warren County Center
about 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

In the field, police found a 1960 Grumann C1A twin-engine airplane.
The aircraft had lost its right engine during a flight from an
airshow in Indiana, the pilot told police, and had to land in the
field. The plane was on its way back to Kansas after the airshow.

Doug Goss of Topeka, Kan., was the plane's pilot. Neither he nor his
passengers were injured in the landing.

Police called damage to the airplane "moderate" and said that the
Federal Aviation Administration is conducting an investigaiton into
the incident.
