SIGNIFICANT WEATHER OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE QUAD CITIES IA IL
510 AM CDT TUE APR 9 2002
...NICE APRIL SPRING DAY...
HIGH PRESSURE SLIPPING SOUTHEAST FROM THE NORTHERN PLAINS WILL PROVIDE
FOR MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES AND A LIGHT NW WIND. THIS WILL RESULT IN NEAR
SEASONABLE TEMPERATURES AS THE MERCURY RISES INTO THE MID TO UPPER 50S
OVER MOST OF THE REGION WITH LOWS TONIGHT DROPPING INTO THE UPPER 30S TO
LOWER 40S. AS THE HIGH MOVES EAST WEDNESDAY...STRENGTHENING SOUTH WINDS
AND PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES WILL RESULT IN WARMER TEMPERATURES INTO
THURSDAY.
ANOTHER COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA LATE THURSDAY AND THURSDAY
NIGHT SPAWNING MORE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. RAINFALL AMOUNTS MAY
ONCE AGAIN BE SUBSTANTIAL OVER THE AREA DEPENDING ON THE AMOUNT OF
AVAILABLE MOISTURE AND A TRIGGER.
