The following is an announcement from Vandenberg SFB:

"The U.S. Space Force has approved the launch of a Minotaur IV rocket carrying the Space Test Program (STP)-S29A mission scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, 2026, between 4:30 a.m.-– 8:45 a.m. PT from Space Launch Complex 8 (SLC-8).

The STP-S29A mission will deliver a variety of Department of War, U.S. Space Force and academic institution payloads to orbit, including: STPSat-7, Auburn University's ASTRA-HyRAX, Texas A&M University's AggieSat6, in addition to other payloads.

There is the possibility that residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may hear one or more sonic booms during the launch, but what residents experience will depend on weather and other conditions."
