The following is a Vandenberg SFB news release about the launch:

Space Development Agency's First Tranche 1 Mission

Vandenberg Space Force Base Guardians and Airmen are scheduled to support the launch of the Space Development Agency’s (SDA) first Tranche 1 mission aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) Wednesday, Sept.10 with liftoff targeted at 7:12 a.m. PT.

Tranche 1 is part of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture, are designed to enhance tactical data delivery, missile threat tracking, and beyond-line-of-sight targeting. The first 21 of 154 Tranche 1 satellites are scheduled to launch from Vandenberg’s spaceport Sept. 10, marking a significant milestone in the development of next-generation space capabilities for joint warfighters.

Areas local to Vandenberg Space Force Base will hear the initial low rumble of take-off.

Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which will be stationed in the Pacific Ocean.

A live webcast of this mission will begin about 10 minutes prior to liftoff, which you can watch here: https://www.spacex.com/launches/sda-t1tl-b and on X @SpaceX. You can also watch the webcast on the new X TV app.

There is the possibility that residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may hear one or more sonic booms during the launch, but what residents experience will depend on weather and other conditions.
