A Falcon 9 rocket is tentatively scheduled for launch tomorrow (Monday, October 27) from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base during a 2:12 to 6:12 p.m. PDT launch window and carry several Starlink satellites into orbit. Eight minutes after launch, the first stage will attempt to land on a drone ship positioned down range.
If sky is clear and the launch occurs early in the window, the event could be visible to the unaided eye from as far away as 100 statute miles. If it occurs late in the window, it may be visible over a wide area as the sunlit exhaust plume is suspended in a dusk sky.
