Vandenberg SFB has announced that a Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled for launch this evening (May 12). The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base between 6:15 and 7:08 p.m. Pacific Time and carry 26 Starlink satellites into orbit. Several minutes after launch, the first stage will attempt to land on a drone ship positioned down range.

Weather permitting, the event could be visible as far away as 100 statute miles.
