A Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled for launch Friday morning (January 24) from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base at 5:54 a.m. Pacific Time and carry several Starlink satellites into orbit. Eight minutes after launch, the vehicle's first stage will land on a drone ship down range.

Weather permitting, the launch could be visible to the unaided eye over a wide area.
