A Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled for launch Tuesday evening (September 24) from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base at 8:48 or 8:59 p.m. PDT and carry several Starlink satellites into orbit.

Liftoff will occur long after sunset, which will make the event visible over a wide area. However, it will probably be too late for the exhaust to be illuminated by the Sun.
