Tuesday morning's (October 29) launch of a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. appears to be on schedule. The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base at 4:44 a.m. PDT and carry several satellites into orbit.

Weather permitting, the launch could be visible to the unaided eye over a wide area.
