A Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled for launch Wednesday evening (November 13) from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base at 8:21 p.m. Pacific Time. The Falcon 9 will probably head towards the southeast and roughly parallel the coast as it carries several Starlink satellites into orbit. Plans call for the first stage to land on a drone ship downrange several minutes after launch.

Weather permitting, the launch could be visible to the unaided eye over a wide area. The flame from the first stage as it prepares to land may also be visible, but you will need an unobstructed horizon in the direction of the recovery ship.
