[Launch Alert]

A Firefly rocket carrying eight small satellites was launched at 9:04 p.m. PDT Wednesday evening (July 3) from Vandenberg SFB, Calif.

As expected, many observers were treated to an interesting display as the vehicle's exhaust plume was illuminated at high altitude by the Sun with a dusk sky as a background.
Unfortunately, I was unable to alert you about Wednesday evening's launch attempt.
