A Falcon 9 rocket is tentatively scheduled for launch from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. on the night of January 8-9. The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base between approximately 9:00 p.m. and 1:27 a.m. PST. After leaving the pad, the vehicle will climb vertically for several seconds and then probably head southward as it carries several Starlink satellites into orbit.
Weather permitting, the event could be visible over a wide area for several minutes.
