A Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled for launch early Saturday morning (December 21) from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base at 3:34 a.m. Pacific Time and carry the Bandwagon-2 mid-inclination rideshare mission into orbit. About eight minutes after launch the first stage will land at Vandenberg SFB.

Weather permitting, the launch could be visible to the unaided eye over a wide area.
