A Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled for launch Wednesday morning (November 29) from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base at approximately 10:04 a.m. PST. Following liftoff, the vehicle will climb vertically for several seconds, turn southward, and carry South Korea's 425 Project EO/IR satellite 1 and Ireland's EIR-1 spacecraft into orbit.

During the first few minutes of the launch, the Falcon will produce a bright orange flame, making the event potentially visible to the unaided eye for a distance of up to 100 statute miles (possibly further).
