A Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled for launch late Saturday morning (November 11) from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base between approximately 10:49 a.m. and 12:23 p.m. PST. After liftoff, the vehicle will climb vertically for several seconds, turn southward, and carry numerous small satellites into orbit.

During the first few minutes of the launch, the Falcon will produce a bright orange flame, making the event potentially visible to the unaided eye for a distance of up to 100 statute miles (possibly further).
