A Firefly Alpha rocket is scheduled for launch from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. tomorrow (September 11). The vehicle is slated to lift off from Space Launch Complex 2-West during a 3:00-7:00 p.m. PDT launch window. Following liftoff, the vehicle will probably head south was it carries multiple small satellites into orbit.

If the launch occurs during daylight, the event will probably not be very impressive and only visible over a limited area. However, if liftoff occurs during evening twilight or darkness, the event could be visible over a much wide area, weather permitting.
