A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket was successfully launched Friday, February 25 from Vandenberg Space Force Base on California's Central Coast. The vehicle lifted off from Space Launch Complex 4E on south base at 9:12 a.m. PST (17:12 UTC) during an instantaneous launch window and paralleled the coast as it gained altitude. The rocket later delivered 50 Starlink satellites into orbit.
 
The rocket's first stage was recovered on the drone ship "Of Course I still Love You" stationed off the coast of Baja California.
 
Although the launch occurred well after sunrise, very clear weather made the initial portion of the event visible to the unaided eye for at least 100 statute miles.
