[Launch Alert]

A Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled for launch late Friday evening (August 26) from Vandenberg SFB. The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base at approximately 10:30 p.m. PDT and carry several Starlink Internet satellites into orbit.

Following liftoff, the Falcon 9 will climb vertically and then probably head south. If the sky is clear, the launch may be visible to the unaided eye for hundreds of miles.
