A Falcon 9 rocket was launched as planned last night (SEP 13) from Vandenberg SFB at 8:55 p.m. PDT. As hoped, the launch created a nice visual display. The event was visible to the naked eye for several minutes and the display lasted well into the second stage burn. Moments after liftoff, a brilliant orange flame was visible low on the horizon as the first stage performed a braking maneuver prior to landing.
