The planned July 25 launch of a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg AFB appears to be on schedule. The vehicle is slated to lift off from Space Launch Complex-4E at 4:39:26 a.m. PDT and place Iridium NEXT satellites 56-65 into orbit.

The first stage's bright flame could make the early portion of the launch visible within 100 miles of the coast from San Francisco to San Diego. Liftoff occurs too long before sunrise for the rocket exhaust to be illuminated by the sun.
