Preparations appear to be under way for today's launch of a Delta IV rocket from Vandenberg AFB. Liftoff is currently scheduled for 1:00 p.m. PST from south base.

If the sky is clear, the early portion of the launch should be visible for more than 100 miles. To see the launch from outlying areas, you will need to determine exactly where to look and have an unobstructed horizon. For information on viewing Vandenberg launches, go to:
