ATLAS V LAUNCH SUCCESSFUL

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. - Team Vandenberg successfully launched
the United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket carrying a National Reconnaissance
Office payload from Space Launch Complex-3 here Thursday, Oct. 8, at 5:49
a.m. PDT.

Col. J. Christopher Moss, 30th Space Wing commander, was the launch decision
authority.

"This launch was an great achievement for Team Vandenberg, ULA, NRO and our
launch partners," said Moss. "Their outstanding professionalism and team
work ensured a fantastic launch and I am proud to work with this team of
experts in support of national defense."
