SECOND MINUTEMAN III LAUNCH SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEK

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. - An operational test launch of an unarmed
Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile is scheduled for Thursday
between 3:01 and 9:01 a.m. from Launch Facility-9 here on north Vandenberg. 

Col. Brent McArthur, 30th Space Wing vice commander, is the launch decision
authority. 

 "We are excited to support another launch here Thursday," said McArthur.
"Although this week may seem challenging with the number of launches, we are
eager and ready to continue to support our customers and achieve another
safe and successful launch for the Western Range."
