                            FRIDAY LAUNCH

A Ground-based Interceptor (GBI) is scheduled for launch tomorrow
from Vandenberg AFB. The GBI is slated to liftoff from the base some
time between 11:00 and 15:37 PDT as part of a test of the U.S.
Ground-based Midcourse Defense system.

Information about the test, test preparations, and outcome may be
limited or unavailable.

On Wednesday, KUAC-FM in Fairbanks, Alaska aired a story about the
