Just a quick note: There's a total lunar eclipse tonight. The weather hasn't
been very good in my area today. But it may improve for southern California this
evening and we may be able to see it.

The particulars are as follows:

          Event PST
------------------------------- ------

Moonrise (Los Angeles) 17:34

Moon Enters Earth's Shadow 17:43

Totality Begins 19:00

Totality Ends 19:51

Moon Leaves Earth's Shadow 21:09

If the sky is clear, the eclipse should be easily visible to the naked eye. For
the best view, use binoculars.

As seen from the Los Angeles area, the eclipse will begin at sunset when the Moon
is very low in the east.
