                           THURSDAY LAUNCH

A Ground Based Interceptor is scheduled for launch tomorrow from
Vandenberg AFB as part of a missile defense test. Liftoff is slated
to occur during a launch window that runs from 07:00-11:00 PDT. The
scenario calls for the GBI to attempt an intercept of an incoming mock
warhead launched from Kodiak, Alaska.

Because Thursday's launch is part of a weapon system test, countdown
status will probably not be available to the public.
