                      MONDAY VANDENBERG LAUNCH

A Delta IV booster carrying a clasified payload is scheduled for
launch from Vandenberg AFB tomorrow morning. The Delta will lift-off
from Vandenberg sometime between 15:00 and 16:59 PDT. Although the
launch window and exact launch time are unknown, it is known that
they fall within the above time two hour time period. The exact launch
time will probably be announced on Monday.


Following lift-off, the Delta IV will head southward. Several
minutes later the will place a National Reconnaissance Office payload
into orbit.

Although this is a daylight launch, it may be visible for more than
100 miles if the weather is clear.

 FIRST BOEING DELTA IV EELV MISSION FROM CALIFORNIA READY FOR LAUNCH

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 1, 2005 - The first launch of a Boeing Delta IV rocket
from the West Coast is set for Oct. 3, from Vandenberg Air Force Base
(VAFB), Calif.  A Delta IV Medium+ (4,2) configuration launch vehicle
is scheduled for liftoff from Space Launch Complex 6, between 3 - 5
p.m. PDT to deploy a satellite for the National Reconnaissance Office
(NRO), NROL-22. The launch is the first West Coast mission for the
U.S. Air Force Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle program.

Updated information throughout the mission will be available on the
Boeing Launch Hotline at (714) 896-4770.
