                     SEEN ANYTHING INTERESTING?

Launch Alert readers sometimes ask me for information on viewing
Vandenberg AFB rocket and missile launches. Now I'm turning to you for
help. Have any of you seen anything interesting while viewing these
launches? For example, I was once at Vandenberg and remember seeing a
launch vehicle punch a rapidly expanding hole in a very thin, high
layer of clouds over the base.

On a related note: Thanks to the efforts of Launch Alert reader Rick
Baldridge, the first-ever plots of Vandenberg AFB launch visibility
have been created.
