[Launch Alert] Launch on Schedule

Tomorrow's morning's launch of a Delta II rocket from Vandenberg AFB appears to be on schedule. The Delta is scheduled to lift-off at the start of a launch window that runs from 03:01:57 to 03:04:57 PDT (10:01:57 to 10:04:57 UTC).

The official L-1 weather forecast for Vandenberg AFB is predicting a 90% probability that the weather conditions will be within limits for launch. However, the forecast also calls for fog at launch time and a solid cloud deck above Vandenberg between 200 and 800 feet.

The last few nights at my location in Ventura County have been totally free of coastal low clouds and fog. Hopefully the same will hold true for tomorrow morning here in Ventura County and elsewhere.
