				A SAD DAY

I saw yesterday's reentry of the Space Shuttle Columbia and was
thrilled. Unfortunately a day that started out on such a positive
note soon became a very sad one. My condolences to the families of the
crew, NASA, and everyone else involved with the mission.

			SHUTTLE REENTRY OBSERVATIONS

If you saw the ill-fated reentry and have not sent me a report, please
do so. I am in the process of putting together an issue of this
newsletter devoted to the reentry.

When submitting your observations please include:

  - Your name

  - Observing location

  - Equipment used (binoculars, etc.)

  - Exactly what you saw

  - If you took still images or video

  - Permission for me to use your report in this newsletter or on my
    Web site
