[Launch Alert] Test Message

This is Brian Webb, editor of Astronomy/Space Alert for Southern California
(also called "Launch Alert"). It is 7:18 p.m. on Wednesday, Agust 13th.

I am sending this message to verify the newsletter server has the correct
settings. Several subscribers complained about late delivery of their
newsletter.

I have gone into the subscription list and corrected settings that looked
odd and a possible source of problems.

One thing I did was to make everyone subscribers to just the newsletter and
not the digest. The digest feature is designed for mailing lists with
several messages per day and is sent out once a day. That's not conducive to
rapid delivery.

If you do not like how I've configured your subscription, please let me know
so I can change it back. Also, if there was an excessive delay before you
received this message, let me know.
