			  High Altitude Balloon Flight

Rex Mauldin, N7NGM has informed me that a high-altitude balloon flight
is tentatively scheduled for this weekend. Weather permitting, the
unmanned balloon will leave its launch site in Arizona and carry a
amateur (ham) radio package to the edge of space.

Rex requests that you listen for signals from the balloon. If you're
a licensed ham, you're invited to attempt to establish communications
using the cross-band repeater.

The radio frequencies planned for this flight are:

				CTCSS
	Freq. Tone
	(MHz) (Hz) Comments
	------- ----- --------------
	145.560 162.2 Repeater input
	445.525 None Repeater output
	445.950 None Packet beacon

According to Rex, "...the furthest stations we have worked into CA
using the cross-band repeater from 103,000 feet is, N06P near Diamond
Bar CA. We are not sure if we are being heard well into the LA area or
not. Any signals reports would be appreciated."

Launch updates will be passed over the 220 MHz Condor linked repeater
system. For more information, go to the following web sites:
