LAUNCH ON SCHEDULE
As of 11:40 PDT today, this evening's launch of a Minuteman III ICBM
from Vandenberg AFB is on schedule. The vehicle will probably leave
its silo at 18:01 PDT, the start of a 6-hour launch window.
Because the launch will occur before sunset, it will probably not be
visible beyond a 100 mile radius.

LAUNCH NET
The Vandenberg Launch Net will convene this evening at 17:30 PDT to
pass along countdown status and discuss the launch. The net will take
place on the WB6OBB repeater. This wide coverage repeater
simulcasts on 147.000, 224.900, and 449.300 MHz (- offset, PL 131.8
Hz).
For those of you who are licensed hams, feel free to give me a shout
today during my drive to and from the Vandenberg AFB area. I'll be
monitoring CONDOR and the WB6OBB repeater. I'll be heading up the
coast between 13:00 and 16:00 and returning between 19:00 and 21:00
PDT.
