[Laser] Wanted: Someone to build high performance Laser or LED communications unit for VUCC attempt

I'd like to attempt VUCC (5 Grids) via Laser or LED modulated light but 
face a number of obstacles to accomplish this feat. Chief among them are 
the lack of availability of assembled commercial units capable of the 
feat. My eyesight and fine motor skills don't allow me to homebrew with 
much ease anymore.

I have purchased two of the Ramsey LBC6K laser beam kits but I don't 
think these can be made to cover the required distances, even with 
extensive modification. A better idea might be to construct the K3PGP 
design or even a Luxeon LED design.

So, my hope is that someone on the list would be interested in a paying 
project over the summer. I'll be happy to cover cost of parts, labor, 
and time involved in building two of these units, and testing them to 
insure that they'll cover the required distances. Payment can be done in 
stages, so that you don't have to incur any out-of-pocket expenses. Can
